Jamba Juice, the leader in made-to-order fruit smoothies, decided to improve its in-store customer experience by developing a new prototype. The retailer asked WD Operations, to improve speed of service and increase labor productivity.
WD Operations completely reengineered the Jamba Juice work line by developing a parallel workflow system. In addition, we collaborated with Jamba Juice’s equipment providers to manage the development of several key pieces of equipment that significantly reduced preparation time.
These changes had a tremendous impact at the Cupertino, CA prototype store with an improved service time by 30 percent. After further testing and refinement, all 340 Jamba Juice locations will be retrofitted with the new facilities design.
