A Journey of Collaboration and Innovation

Our 25-year relationship with The Home Depot is a story of collaboration, innovation, and growth. What began as a partnership focused on supporting their rapid expansion across the United States has evolved into a trusted, strategic relationship that continues to shape the future of retail design and development.
In the early days of our partnership, The Home Depot was experiencing exponential growth, and we were right there with them. Supporting the rollout of over 130 new stores annually across the country was a monumental task, and our ability to manage this level of volume was critical to their success. As their single-source architect, we developed and managed prototypes and created a system that streamlined the process—helping to propel both The Home Depot’s national expansion and our own company’s capabilities. The innovation we introduced in how we managed operations and development during this time has shaped how we think about scaling large-scale programs to this day.
As our partnership grew, so did our role in driving innovation. From designing the Innovation Pilot Store to, integrating new technologies across their stores, to systematizing processes for national store rollouts, we’ve continually pushed the boundaries of what’s possible. This foundation of innovation continues to inform how we approach large-scale projects for other national brands. These efforts have always been a team endeavor, with both sides contributing insights, ideas, and expertise to create a cohesive and customer-focused shopping environment.
One of the key programs we’ve supported has been the Tool Rental Center (TRC) program. This end-to-end AEC solution, which spans from site development research through construction management, has been a significant driver of value for The Home Depot, creating dedicated rental spaces in their stores. Managing the TRC as a separate business unit within Home Depot has allowed us to provide a full AEC service that touches every phase of the project. It’s been an essential part of our more recent work, alongside our involvement in updating their Mexico and Canadian prototypes, expanding the partnership across borders.
Looking back, our partnership with The Home Depot has been a defining aspect of our journey. From helping them establish a national footprint to collaborating on innovative store design strategies and remodel programs, we’ve grown together. The level of trust and openness between our teams has allowed us to consistently deliver new solutions, positioning The Home Depot for long-term success. In many ways, they have been an incubator for our own innovation—helping us refine how we support large-scale brands and manage complex projects.
In addition to our collaborative efforts on store design and operations, we’ve also had the privilege of participating in The Home Depot Foundation Event. This involvement underscores our shared commitment to giving back to the communities we serve and highlights the strong bond between our teams.
As we look back on the past 25 years, we’re filled with gratitude for the collaboration that has defined our partnership with The Home Depot. This relationship has been about more than just delivering results—it’s been about working together to achieve something greater than the sum of its parts. We are proud of what we’ve accomplished together and excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
