Live Longer, Feel Better: The Rise of Longevity Wellness

A Q&A With Dr. Jonathan Leary on How Science-Based Treatments Are Transforming Wellness

Estimated Read Time: 3 Minutes

Longevity and proactive health optimization are rapidly gaining traction, with more people focusing on extending their health span rather than just their life span. With the global population aged 60+ expected to double by 2050, wellness and biohacking have become key trends in healthcare. Longevity centers, offering advanced medical services like genetic testing and anti-aging therapies, are shaping a future where prevention and optimization take precedence over reactive care. We explore this emerging trend in our full POV on longevity health and wellness.

At the forefront of this movement is Remedy Place, a social wellness club founded by Dr. Jonathan Leary. Remedy Place combines non-invasive treatments and personalized tech-driven wellness solutions to create an environment where members and guests alike can optimize their health. With locations in New York and Los Angeles, and plans for global expansion, Dr. Leary is committed to ensuring that everyone has access to personalized, holistic health solutions.

Live Longer, Feel Better: The Rise of Longevity Wellness

The following Q&A with Dr. Jonathan Leary discusses the journey behind Remedy Place, the development of their unique service offerings, and the role of science and research in supporting their approach to wellness.

Q: How did the concept of The Remedy Place come to be?

Originally, I was on track for a career in conventional medicine. However, as I went through my pre-med studies and dedicated countless volunteer hours in various healthcare settings, doubts crept in. I started questioning whether traditional medicine aligned with how I wanted to impact lives and if it suited the lifestyle I envisioned for myself.

For the next five years, I ran my concierge practice, focusing on non-surgical, drug-free approaches to surgery prevention and chronic pain rehabilitation. This period was crucial; I constantly refined the business plan based on real clinical evidence, attentively listening to my patients, addressing improvement areas, and learning the business (and money) aspects necessary to realize my dream. Then, in 2019, the opportunity to open our first club finally materialized.

Q: How did you build your service offering?

During my doctoral studies and 5 years in my private practice, I was able to conduct my own clinical evidence and research to see what was effective. After all these years in school, treating my patients, and personally testing these treatments on myself, I felt confident introducing them at our clubs. It’s crucial to me that as we continue to build trust and as people rely on us for their health, they know we’ve not only done our due diligence but also rigorously tested these offerings to ensure they’re receiving the very best.

Q: Do you have research or evidence of the benefits of these services? What is the recommended routine for these offerings?

Over the past decade, especially in recent years, the amount of research supporting these practices is growing by the day. Perhaps most significant though, is that with the rise of wearables and biometrics we can see the impact that factors like foods, activities, and emotions have on our body in real time. Personalized data is ultimately the most effective way to create the most individualized holistic approach.

At Remedy Place, we prioritize treatments and Tech-remedies that deliver real value without compromising quality. Remember, wellness isn’t about quick fixes—it’s about consistency, discipline, and understanding that the basics often provide the strongest foundation for health.

Q: Have you or will you track results and outcomes of using your services in regard to health optimization or slowing down the aging process?

Absolutely! We’ve always offered functional medicine, but our new assessment suite is going to take it to the next level. From movement screening, VO2 max testing, and balance & cognitive function assessments to comprehensive bloodwork, we’re elevating our level of care to be more advanced and individualized than ever before.

Q: Have you looked at science-backed studies benchmarking those that have a robust longevity routine versus those who do not?

I’ve read and explored what’s currently available, but it’s limiting. However, with increased awareness and funding, this is going to evolve. We’ll be able to prove things more quickly and deliver more individualized results using wearables and personal biometrics, especially as AI becomes increasingly integrated into these technologies.

Q: Will there be a focus on clinical research and outcomes before scaling your concept further? What does the future look like?

The short answer is yes, but in our own way that we are very excited to share as time progresses.

Our vision for the future of Remedy Place is expanding each day. What once started as a dream to outpace leaders in wellness or hospitality has grown into a mission to impact more lives and help more people than any other health and wellness company worldwide.

I’m confident we’re precisely where we’re meant to be. Looking ahead, our plan is to remain focused, work tirelessly while prioritizing our own health, assemble an exceptional team, and continue nurturing authentic relationships with those around us, all while making sure everyone feels better along the way.
